Seat structures
Stamped and robot-welded seat frames, recliner brackets and track assemblies for front and rear rows.
Veritas Automotive is a Tier 1 automotive supplier based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Vehicle manufacturers build very few of a car's parts themselves. They rely on suppliers like us to make complete components and deliver them straight to their assembly plants, often several times a day.
We make seat structures, door modules, electric motors and brake components for passenger, utility and commercial vehicle programmes. When a customer asks for 2,000 parts a day, delivered just in time and with zero defects, we plan our whole plant around that commitment. Every part is tested before it ships.
If a supplier delivers late or ships a bad part, a vehicle manufacturer's assembly line can stop. So everything in our plant revolves around two things: keeping our own lines running and getting every part right.
Our production, maintenance, quality, engineering, materials, safety and HR teams work toward that goal on every shift. Our quality, environment and safety systems are run to IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Stamped and robot-welded seat frames, recliner brackets and track assemblies for front and rear rows.
Door carrier modules with window regulators, latches, wiring and speaker mounts, supplied ready to fit.
Window-lift, seat-adjust and wiper motors and actuators, each tested for current draw, speed and noise.
Caliper brackets, brake pipes and pedal box assemblies, each pressure-tested before dispatch.
Every part follows the same five steps, and each step is built to catch problems before they reach the customer.
The OEM sends its delivery schedule. Our planners decide what each line builds on each shift.
Steel coil, plastic resin and bought-out components are inspected, recorded and put away.
Stamping presses, robotic welders, injection moulding machines and assembly stations build the part.
Automated test stands check pressure, electrical function and dimensions. Failed parts are rejected automatically.
Parts go into customer-specific trolleys and bins and reach the assembly plant several times a day.
A machine that stops can stop a customer's assembly line. Our maintenance team of electricians, fitters and technicians covers all three shifts, and every job is logged in our CMMS (computerised maintenance management system).
Mechanical faults go to a fitter and electrical faults to an electrician. Repeat failures get a root-cause analysis so they stop for good. Major overhauls are planned for the Diwali and annual shutdowns.
An operator raises the call or the andon alarm lights up. A technician troubleshoots, finds the cause and gets the line running again.
Every machine has a PM schedule. The CMMS raises work orders automatically, and we do them on Sundays, at changeovers and during shutdowns.
Upgrading ageing equipment, removing repeat failures, and installing and commissioning new machines.
Minutes of production lost to breakdowns.
Mean time between failures: how long machines run between breakdowns.
Mean time to repair: how quickly a stopped machine runs again.
Share of scheduled preventive maintenance done on time.
Every incident and near miss is reported and investigated.
Tracked weekly as a measure of planning and cost discipline.
Spares, contractors and rentals against the annual budget.
Written notes so the next shift knows what broke and what is still open.
Runs the machines and builds parts across three shifts. Maintenance's main internal customer.
Keeps machines, utilities and the building working, with electricians, fitters and technicians on every shift.
Makes sure every part meets specification, and flags machines that drift out of tolerance.
Designs processes and installs new equipment, then hands it over with documentation and spares lists.
Buys and stores raw material, components and spares, including critical spares stock.
Keeps people safe through lockout-tagout, permit-to-work and safety audits.
Looks after our people, shift rosters, overtime, grievances and union relations.
Our Validation & Test Centre supports our customers' vehicle development programmes. Here our customers are test engineers, and downtime means delayed vehicle programmes, so the same maintenance discipline applies.
Engine and chassis dynamometers run an engine, or a whole vehicle on rollers, through performance and durability cycles. Think of it as a treadmill for cars.
Sealed test cells measure what comes out of the exhaust, supporting development work toward Bharat Stage VI and future emission norms.
Climatic rooms from −40 °C to +55 °C heat, cool and humidify components or complete vehicles, from Himalayan cold to Rajasthan summer heat and monsoon humidity.
HVAC, fire suppression, compressed air, high-tension power and test-fuel storage are maintained to statutory standards, including PESO licensing and Factories Act inspections.
Lead a trades crew maintaining dynos, test cells, climatic chambers and building systems.
